Final Super Six World Boxing Classic Group Stage 2 Standings

The tie break system for this tournament is more complicated than the Dewey Decimal System. Therefore, there were some errors made in the math of the judges' points in favor of the last set of standings for the tournament we posted here: http://www.number1contender.net/the-latest/2010/6/30/final-super-six-world-boxing-classic-group-stage-2-standings.html The effect of these changes in the tie-breakers will be explained at the bottom.
1. Andre Ward 4 points 0 KO's 713 official judges' points in favor
2. Arthur Abraham 3 points 1 KO 677 official judges' points in favor
3. Andre Dirrell 2 points 0 KO's 690 official judges' points in favor
4. Mikkel Kessler 2 points 0 KO's 679 official judges' points in favor
5. Carl Froch 2 points 0 KO's 679 official judges' points in favor
6. Allan Green 0 points 0 KO's 658 official judges' points in favor
With the revised standings Ward has still clinched a place in the semi-finals. Abraham remains in second place via his knockout of Jermain Taylor in Group Stage 1. The revised point totals have moved Dirrell from fifth place to third. Kessler remains in fourth place. The Dane is tied in total judges' points in favor with Froch, but defeated Froch in their head-to-head meeting to earn that tie-break. Green remains in last place.
Even with the updated standings, everyone in the tournament is still alive to make the semi-finals. If Abraham, Dirrell, Kessler or Froch win their next match, they are guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals. They could also all make it with a loss and some help. Green needs to win his match against Kessler and get some help via a variety of scenarios to make the next round.
The next set of standings should be posted on September 27. That is the Monday following the first matches in Group Stage 3 of this tournament.
