Artie Bembury (2-0, 0 KO's, 138.75 pounds) vs. Joel Torres (5-0, 2 KO's, 138 pounds)
Bembury is the local fighter in this match. He is coming off a six month layoff and has competed in 60 amateur contests.
Torres is from Puerto Rico and this is his firstoutside of Puerto Rico. Torres is coming down in weight for this fight. Now 22 years-old, he has been fighting since he was 15.
Round 1 to Torres, 10-9. Torres looks a lot better than the usual boxers put in this spot on the card, designed to show very young talent. Over five minutes into the match, Bembury has not landed a jab. As round 2 ends, Bembury is bleeding from the nose. Torres wins round 2, 10-9. Torres looks great and looks to maybe be a top level boxer in a few years. In round 3 the referee stopped the match and awards Torres a TKO victory. It seems an extremely early stoppage, but as Teddy Atlas points out there were a lot of punches coming from Torres and hardly any coming back from Bembury. The final punch track numbers are Bembury landed 33 of 123 punches thrown, good for 27%. Torres landed 81 of 191 punches, good for 42%.
The official decision is: at 52 seconds of round 3 the winner by technical knock out, Joel Torres. Torres moves to 6-0 with 3 KO's.

in that fight i was not even given a shot to do what i do best i was baiting him to think that i was hurt and just when i was about to answer the refferee stop the fight. i was ok you could see that in the fight when he stop it and since then he has not had not took a fight with nobody like me. he fight bums and i mean that just look at who been in their with him since they all hade no back round all but me and i will see him in the ring and when he do i am going to rip him apart.
